Kula Project
Aka, the Big Blue Bus, is a school bus that has been converted in to a unique community space, run collectively with the homeless.
Now 5 years old, we provide weekly food, showers, haircuts, laundry, community and more. Your donation will help continue this project.
Shala Community
Shala is a revolutionary housing concept focused on community, well-being and living a more fulfilling life.
A Shala house will have anywhere from 4 to 8 residents living in community. They will share expenses and govern themselves.
How we plan to spend the money in 2024
Kula Bus $40,000
This will allow the bus to run for an entire year, servings meals, showers, laundry and haircuts. It also allows for the bus to creatively provide stipends to Bus Drivers, Leads, and Schedulers many of whom will likely be currently housed volunteers
Shala Housing $35,000
This will help us launch another house and allow us to hire a part time Community Maker position that will be overseeing each community.
General + Other $35,000
Help us cover all our back end costs, from insurances, technology, to a grant writer and hire a part time staff member
